Space Engineers Turrets Attack My Ships in Easy Start

    Ok, so I spawned 2 ships, filled both with ammo. Created a faction, set 1 to faction 1 to private. They dont seem to fire on each other. I was hoping to create a little broadside crusier battle action.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Make a survival sp game and create the same scenario on a pvp planet or orbit, using the console.

    Tried that doesnt work. Have to load every single gun on both ships manually or they wont fire. Im not gonna bother until that is fixed. When you have 100 Cannons on each ship, its too much hassle to enter 200 cannons lol

    by using an alien core? Cool idea, but not firing back defeats the whole idea as to what I am trying to do. I want to watch 2 capital ships unleash total hell on each other. Having to add the ammo to the ammo box is one thing, but then having to sit in every gun, and load them manually, takes like 2 hours to set up a 1v1 capital ship battle for 5 minutes of destruction lol Oh well, I am sure the devs will fix this bug in time.

    From my experience, the turrets will start to respond if you reload/fire ONE of each type. So if you've got 100 Plasma turrets, 50 Artillery, and 200 Gatling turrets, just hop into 1 Plasma turret, reload it, then hop into an Artillery turret, reload it, and then a Gatling turret, and reload it. Lastly, go into the P menu and then de-activate and re-activate the whole Turret group. From the Multiplayer server I play on at least, that makes em start working bout 90% of the time :) (Yes, even the turrets that weren't specifically reloaded :p )

    Negative. I have beta access. It is Multi Player. I want single player creative mode action. Not having to wait for a team of 5 people to play with. Also they show no damage to your hull. Ill make a video later of what it is I am trying to do

    Hm yeah apparently it only works on some ships and not others. I tried it on one of my Frigates and it worked. Then tried it on a immobile "Sentry" CV and it didn't work :\ So not sure anyamore...

    OK I will let you in on my secret to how I test like this.

    I use a second steam account and start 2 factions, they will attack eachother then, as long as your weapons are set to, you have to set the server up in survival mode and use admin powers to paste stuff in, remember to do that at distance to eachother, or boom boom boom as you spawn it in, then you end up with 2 factions at war and you can test any ship or BA yo like.

    Do you have a second steam account you have access to ?

    I havent experimented with file swapping for this for months because of the system I use now is so much easier.

    Erm how does this work exactly? Wouldn't that mean you need to buy two copies of Empyrion on two separate accounts?

    First let me say this. Your time in this game is impressive. Most impressive.

    Secondly, I do actually have 2 steam accounts. I use a 2nd account for Ark and Rust. I sit on my dinos when I am afk. And I watch my base while on farming/looting runs on both games.

    However, I can not justify the time or money to purchase a second account just to bypass what is clearly a bug that has yet to get the attention of the developers. Ill just wait until they get around fixing non game breaking bugs. But thanks for the input.

    When I purchased 8 copies of Empyrion I just looked at it as supporting the developers to develop the game, I have payed 110 bucks for single games the kids want at places like EB games shops etc that they never really played for that long anyway, so I dont see 100$ odd bucks as expensive for this game to help get it developed faster especially when we have developers that are so involved and really quite fast to add content.

    Personally, as much as I love Eleon, and am happy to support them, I don't think most people can just drop $100+ on a game. If I were rich I'd buy 100 copies... but I don't think many people are in that boat. Especially not when, as stated above, it's only to "fix" a bug that shouldn't really exist in the first place. :S

    But, I guess it's better than sitting there wishing your ships would shoot each other.

    I agree with you,. You paid your money like everyone else so you deserve the attention as they do. I laugh everytime i hear someone say go play a space sim when Space Engineers and Starmade has this specific feature and it's nothing more than giving the AI control over you ship. Just a click of a button. It's not a big deal really. Hopefully they add this feature in game because from what I've read a lot of players in Empyrion are asking for this ability.

    Thanks... Mr. Piddlefoot.!!! Is there anyway that you can list a lot of the features planned for this game that some of new players like me don't know about ? You seem to have a good idea of the upcoming features or maybe the devs listed them and I don't know where to fins the list.
